In a defensive battle, V-O beat Rockets 2 - 1 at Parade South on Sunday. V-O scored one goal to take the lead in the first period. V-O gained one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Rockets failed to take the lead in the third period even though they scored one goal, and ended up losing the game.

Lezlie Helfmann netted one goal for V-O and also had one point. Jennifer Bessinger tallied one goal for V-O. Leicach, Shaughnessy, and Beaton each added one assist for V-O.

KELLY RICHARDS tallied one goal for Rockets.

Having a standout day, V-O's Beth Chaplin finished with 12 saves. Rockets's Kim Erickson stopped 15 out of 17 shots.

V-O added to their current win streak of two games and now has a record of 16-3. Rockets ended the game with a record of 10 wins and 10 losses.
