In a low scoring game, V-O won against Northern Stars 2 - 1 at MARS Lakeview Duluth on Sunday. V-O scored two straight goals to take the lead in the first period. Northern Stars added one unanswered goal in the second period but failed to take the lead. V-O's defense shut down Northern Stars for the rest of the game. With both teams scoreless in the third period, V-O held on to its lead, and was the winner.

Julie Zabel and Jennifer Bessinger each contributed one goal for V-O. Stecklein and Henricksen each tallied one assist for V-O.

Danielle Amborn added one goal for Northern Stars.

Having a standout day, V-O's Beth Chaplin stopped 17 shots. Northern Stars's Sherri Qualley had 15 saves.

V-O moves to a record of 15-3. Northern Stars ended the game with a record of 10-11.
