Defenses slugged it out, but V-O overcame Chicks With Sticks 1 - zip at Thaler on Thursday. Neither team scored in the first period. V-O took the lead in the second period with one goal. It would prove to be too much for Chicks With Sticks. With both teams scoreless in the third period, V-O protected its lead, and was the winner.
