Paula Allenburg knocks two goals, Top Shelf effective on defense to get the victory

Top Shelf beat Icy Hot 5 - 1 at Northeast Arena on Thursday. Top Shelf outscored Icy Hot three to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Top Shelf gained one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. The Top Shelf defense took over in the final period. In the final period Top Shelf scored one goal adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

Turning in a good performance, Paula Allenburg netted two goals for Top Shelf. Paige Renard got one goal for Top Shelf in addition to three assists. Erin Stepka and Jessie Morsching each added one goal for Top Shelf.

Terasa Bonifas added one goal for Icy Hot.

Having a standout day, Top Shelf's Beth Chaplin had 13 saves. Icy Hot's Anne Hatinen had only 18 saves on 23 shots on goal.

Top Shelf extended their winning streak to three games and ended the game with a record of 13-12. Icy Hot finished the game with a record of 8-18.
