Taylor Dornik smashes a goal while Puck Hogs puts the squeeze on shooters to win the game on the road, lifts string of wins to 8 games

In a defensive battle, Puck Hogs defeated Lightning II 2 - zero at Brooklyn Park #1 on Wednesday. Neither team scored in the first period. With no one scoring in the second period both defenses were solid. Puck Hogs finally scored in the final period with two unanswered goals and won the game.

Racking up saves in the box, Puck Hogs's Julie Brandt blocked 32 out of 32 shots on goal. Lightning II's Regina Magstadt finished with 12 saves.

Puck Hogs extended their winning streak to eight games and now has a record of 26 wins and 1 loss. Lightning II ended the game with a record of 10-15.
