Jennifer Klaustermeier drills two goals and Hinotes Heroes strong on D to prevail in a close game, extends streak of wins to 7 games

Jennifer Klaustermeier netted the game-winning goal with 3:40 left in the third period, as Hinotes Heroes beat Flyers 4 - 2 at Shoreview on Tuesday. Flyers outscored Hinotes Heroes two to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Hinotes Heroes gained one goal in the second period to tie the score. The second period closed with both teams at two goals a piece. Hinotes Heroes took the lead in the third period with two goals and won the game.

In the first period, Flyers got things going when Rebecca Anderson netted a goal with 11:45 left in the period. Jen Voegele got the assist on the goal. Pushing forward, Flyers's Anderson did it again and got the puck past the goalie another time with assists from Alisha Ellertson and Sarah Radosevich, with 8:04 left in the period, adding to their lead. Answering back, Hinotes Heroes's Lyndsi Harworth put the puck between the pipes with 1:42 left in the period. Susan Sajevic and Jennifer Klaustermeier got the assists on the goal. In the second period, steaming onward, Hinotes Heroes's Harworth yet again put the puck in the net again with 6:46 left in the period. Susan Sajevic assisted on the goal, to make the game tied. In the third period, Hinotes Heroes kept up the momentum when Jennifer Klaustermeier put the puck between the pipes with an assist from Susan Sajevic, with 3:40 left in the period, assuming the lead at 3-2. Hinotes Heroes was in control from then on. Continuing the roll, Hinotes Heroes's Klaustermeier once more put the biscuit over the goal line once more with an assist from Tomma Freundschuh, with 2:29 left on the clock, moving further into the lead.

Turning in a good performance, Jennifer Klaustermeier netted two goals for Hinotes Heroes and also had one point. Showing off a strong stick, Lyndsi Harworth netted two goals for Hinotes Heroes. Susan Sajevic got three assists. Freundschuh contributed one assist for Hinotes Heroes.

Turning in a good performance, Rebecca Anderson got two goals for Flyers.

Hinotes Heroes's Pilar Gibson had 18 saves on 20 shots. Flyers's Carmen Ventrucci Peterson made 15 saves.

Hinotes Heroes continued their current win streak of six games and now has a record of 18-7. Flyers finished the game with a record of 3 wins and 23 losses.
