Defenses ruled the day when Blast finished off MCM 2 - zero at Oscar Johnson on Sunday. Neither team managed to get on the scoreboard in the first period. Blast gained one goal in the second period to break the tie and take the lead. Blast's defense shut down MCM for the rest of the game. In the final period Blast scored one goal piling on and winning the game.

Turning in a perfect performance, Blast's Sara Hudoba turned away 13 shots. Displaying a golden glove, MCM's Margaret Slonine blocked 39 out of 41 shots on goal.

Blast extended their winning streak to three games and ended up with a record of 15-6. MCM ended the game with a record of 1-26.
