Shutting out their opponents, Mystics prevailed against Lightning II 3 - 0 at Brooklyn Park #2 on Sunday. Mystics tallied up one unanswered goal to take the lead in the first period. Mystics gained one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. Lightning II's fate was sealed. In the final period Mystics scored one goal cementing the lead and winning the game.

Rebecca Clotts scored one goal for Mystics and also had one point. Linnea Loren and Ingrid Borkoski each contributed one goal for Mystics. Julie Dolan had two helpers. Frey tallied one assist for Mystics.

Leading the way to a shutout for Mystics, michele van vranken made 17 saves. Lightning II's Regina Magstadt blocked 21 out of 24 shots on goal.

Mystics ended the game with a record of 12 wins and 11 losses. Lightning II finished the game with a record of 10 wins and 14 losses.
