Lightning II finished off Surly Misfits 4 - 1 at Brookyn Park #2 on Saturday. Lightning II tallied up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Lightning II gained two unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Lightning II kept the lead for the win.

Turning in a good performance, Sara Vogt scored two goals for Lightning II and also had one point. Sarah Beck scored one goal for Lightning II and also had one assist. Carol Flachmeyer contributed one goal for Lightning II. Bona, Erie, Hilpisch, and Steiner each contributed one assist for Lightning II.

Jessica Amb contributed one goal for Surly Misfits.

Having a huge impact in the game, Lightning II's Regina Magstadt stopped 11 out of 12 shots. Surly Misfits's Heather Hedin stopped 29 shots.

Lightning II added to their current win streak of two games and ended the game with a record of 10 wins and 13 losses. Surly Misfits finished the game with a record of 2-23.
