Defenses slugged it out, but Outer Edge was superior against Lions 1 - zero at Phalen on Thursday. Neither team managed to get the puck in the net in the first period. Outer Edge took the lead in the second period with one goal. The Outer Edge defense took over in the final period. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Outer Edge protected its lead, and was the winner.

Outer Edge ended up with a record of 18-3. Lions finished the game with a record of 6-15.
