Lightning II won against Blue Chill 5 - 1 at Brooklyn Park #2 on Thursday. Neither team managed to get on the scoreboard in the first period. In the second, the ice was finally broken when Lightning II scored two goals to Blue Chill's one and took the lead. It would prove to be too much for Blue Chill. In the final period Lightning II scored three goals improving its score and winning the game.

Contributing to the win for Lightning II, Sarah Beck scored two goals for Lightning II. Sara Vogt netted one goal for Lightning II and also had one helper. Jenny Wilking and Carol Flachmeyer each added one goal for Lightning II. Courtney Bona had two assists. Amy Boyer got two assists. Erie tallied one assist for Lightning II.

Mary Loso tallied one goal for Blue Chill.

Showing off a strong glove, Lightning II's Regina Magstadt turned away 25 shots. Blue Chill's Jody Wilkens had only 36 saves on 41 shots on goal.

Lightning II ended the game with a record of 9-13. Blue Chill ended the game with a record of 15-10.
