Xplosion defeated Macalester 6 - 1 at Minnehaha Academy Arena on Sunday. Xplosion tallied up three goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, Xplosion outscored their opponents by one goal and kept the lead. It would prove to be too much for Macalester. In the final period Xplosion scored one goal improving its score and winning the game.

In an excellent performance, Desiree Galvan made two goals for Xplosion and also three points. Heather Kruse, Darla Ramberg, Christine Ramos, and Carron Perry each tallied one goal for Xplosion.

Xplosion's Susan Welles had eight saves on nine shots. Macalester's Sarah Birkholz had just 52 saves on 58 shots.

Macalester ended the game with a record of 1 win and 18 losses.
