Kelli Schlittler slams two goals as Marshals a defensive stronghold to get the shutout win

In a shutout victory, Marshals beat Flyers 6 - zip at Augsburg B on Saturday. Marshals scored two goals to take the lead in the first period. Marshals gained three unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. It would prove to be too much for Flyers. In the final period Marshals scored one goal improving its score and winning the game.

Marshals's Kelli Schlittler made two goals for Marshals. During the first period, Schlittler got an unassisted goal. Marshals was in control from then on. During the third period, Schlittler netted another goal with an assist from Kelli Schlittler. Marshals's Denise Alto scored two goals for Marshals and also had one point. Marshals's Alto netted a goal in the second period with an assist from Megan Fuches. Marshals pierced the defense when Alto got a second goal in the second period. Natalie Pinault assisted on this goal.

Having a huge impact in the game, Marshals's jill nordstrom blocked 23 out of 23 shots on goal. Flyers's Carmen Ventrucci Peterson had just 32 saves on 38 shots.

Marshals now has a record of 16-4. Flyers finished the game with a record of 3-20.
