Cluster Puck Beats Out Flyers 6-1

Valerie Guse nails a hat trick while Cluster Puck relies on defense to get the victory

Cluster Puck got the better of Flyers 6 - 1 at Augsburg B on Sunday. Cluster Puck outscored Flyers two to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Cluster Puck gained three goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Cluster Puck never looked back. In the final period Cluster Puck scored one goal sealing the deal and winning the game.

Turning in a great performance for Cluster Puck, Valerie Guse got the hat trick with three goals. During the first period, Guse put the puck in the net with an assist from Nicole Treichel. This was the knock out punch for Cluster Puck. Pushing forward, Cluster Puck's Guse Guse got a shorthanded goal. Kassie Nelson got the assist on this goal. Next, Guse netted an unassisted goal in the second period. Kassie Nelson contributed one goal for Cluster Puck.

Showing off a strong glove, Cluster Puck's Amy Jones stopped 10 out of 11 shots. Flyers's Carmen Ventrucci Peterson had only 26 saves on 32 shots on goal.

Cluster Puck added to their current win streak of two games and now has a record of 21-1. Flyers finished the game with a record of 3-19.
