Trisha Totenhagen golden with a hat trick as Hot Shots effective on defense to win decisively

In a lopsided victory, Hot Shots prevailed against Carleton College 9 - 1 at Northfield on Saturday. Hot Shots outscored Carleton College two to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Hot Shots gained six unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. The Hot Shots defense took over in the final period. In the final period Hot Shots scored one goal improving its score and winning the game.

Displaying a great scoring touch, Trisha Totenhagen scored the hat trick with four goals and also had one assist. Displaying a great scoring touch, Maari Stach got the hat trick with three goals and also had one helper. Colleen Gardner and Felicia Lindquist each added one goal for Hot Shots.

Showing a super performance, Hot Shots's Kris Lindsoe stopped 12 shots. Carleton College's Jasmine Cutter had just 27 saves on 36 shots.

Hot Shots now has a record of 13 wins and 3 losses. Carleton College ended the game with a record of 1-15.
