Tammy Schirck impresses with two goals as Flyers allows few shots to win on the road, snaps losing streak

Flyers prevailed over Whammies 6 - 1 at Augsburg on Saturday. Flyers outscored Whammies two to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Flyers gained three straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Flyers's defense shut down Whammies for the rest of the game. In the final period Flyers scored one goal piling on and winning the game.

Flyers's Tammy Schirck made two goals for Flyers. Jennifer Adler, Courtney Norgaard, Jessica Hafner, and Sarah Easterwood each tallied one goal for Flyers.

Flyers's Carmen Ventrucci Peterson stopped nine out of 10 shots. Whammies's Erin Warke had only 12 saves on 18 shots on goal.

Flyers ended their streak of seven losing games and ended the game with a record of 3-18. Whammies ended the game with a record of 1-13.
