Both defenses battled it out, but Last Shot triumphed over Thunderbirds 2 - 1 at Buffalo Civic Center-New on Friday. Last Shot tallied up one unanswered goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Both teams scored one goal in the second period but Last Shot kept the lead for the win. Thunderbirds's fate was sealed. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Last Shot held on to its lead, and was the winner.

Anne Munsinger netted one goal for Last Shot and also had one helper. Amy Dawson added one goal for Last Shot. Deger added one assist for Last Shot.

Christine Hoepner contributed one goal for Thunderbirds.

Last Shot's Jamie Prendergast stopped six shots. Thunderbirds's Darla Hengel finished with 10 saves.

Thunderbirds finished the game with a record of 11 wins and 5 losses.
