Both defenses battled it out, but Penalty Box prevailed against Galaxy 1 - 0 at Richfield Ice Arena 1 on Sunday. Neither team scored in the first period. Penalty Box took the lead in the second period with one unanswered goal. The Penalty Box defense took over in the final period. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Penalty Box conserved its lead, and was the winner.

In the second period, Penalty Box got things going on the ice when Jill Stever-Zeitlin got the puck in the goal with an assist from Anne Nehring with 11:20 left in the period.

Turning in a perfect performance, Penalty Box's Annette Germann made 20 saves. Despite a super performance, Galaxy's Tristia Pettey had 18 saves.

Penalty Box ended up with a record of 10 wins and 3 losses. Galaxy finished the game with a record of 11-9.
