In a low scoring game, Mystics finished off Icy Hot 1 - zip at Northeast Arena on Sunday. Neither team scored in the first period. The second period was also scoreless. Finally getting points on the board in the third period, Mystics scored one goal to take the win.

In the third period, Mystics got things going when jennifer nienaber got the puck in the goal with 4:37 left in the period. Mary Mansour and Linnea Loren got the assists on the goal.

Turning in a perfect performance, Mystics's michele van vranken stopped 12 shots. Despite having a huge impact in the game, Icy Hot's Anne Hatinen had 22 saves on 23 shots.

Mystics ended their streak of three losing games and now has a record of 9-10. Icy Hot ended the game with a record of 6-15.
