In a hard fought match up, Puck Hogs defeated Blast 3 - 2 at Oscar Johnson on Sunday. Neither team managed to get the puck in the net in the first period. In the second period, the offenses finally got going when Blast outscored their opponents by one goal and took the lead. Blast was on top two to one, but this wouldn't last. Puck Hogs rallied in the final period with two consecutive goals, to grab the win.
Having a good day, Jaime Sekenski netted two goals for Puck Hogs. Angela Redlund Spieker tallied one goal for Puck Hogs. Jill Pettiford had two helpers. Taylor Dornik had two helpers. Wiberg contributed one assist for Puck Hogs.
Carol malnati and Shannon Kennelly each contributed one goal for Blast.
Puck Hogs's Julie Brandt had seven saves on nine shots. Blast's Sara Hudoba blocked 20 out of 23 shots on goal.
Puck Hogs continued their current win streak of two games and ended up with a record of 21-1. Blast ended the game with a record of 12-5.
