Defenses ruled the day when Renegades prevailed against Blue Chill 2 - zip at Augsburg B on Sunday. Renegades scored one goal to take the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Renegades held on to its lead. Blue Chill's fate was sealed. In the final period Renegades scored one goal padding its lead and winning the game.

In the first period, Renegades's Jennifer Lenhart put the puck in the net with 16:30 left in the period. Denise Lien got the assist on the goal. Renegades never looked back. In the third period, Renegades kept up the heat when Donna Luttrell put the puck between the pipes with an assist from Missy Boyd with 3:19 left in the period, expanding their lead.

Turning in a perfect performance, Renegades's Jan Mohrfeld turned away 20 shots. Blue Chill's Jody Wilkens stopped 12 shots.

Renegades extended their winning streak to five games and ended up with a record of 19-5. Blue Chill ended the game with a record of 15-9.
