Defenses ruled the day when Wildcats beat Blue J's II 2 - 1 at Augsburg A on Sunday. Wildcats racked up two straight goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Wildcats retained its lead. Blue J's II scored one goal in the third period but it was not enough to close the gap, so they lost the game.

Abigail hayes and Jenna Johnston each tallied one goal for Wildcats. Triplett added one assist for Wildcats.

Mary Vandegrift tallied one goal for Blue J's II.

Racking up saves in the box, Wildcats's Brittany Daniels turned away 15 shots. Blue J's II's Kyle Rizner made 10 saves.

Blue J's II finished the game with a record of 7-14.
