Blue Diamonds defeated Macalester 7 - 2 at Highland Ice Arena (North) on Tuesday. Blue Diamonds outscored Macalester two to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Blue Diamonds added two straight goals in the second period and held on to its lead. In the last period, Blue Diamonds outscored their opponents by two goals and kept the lead to win the game.

In an excellent performance, Megan Stang scored two goals for Blue Diamonds as well as two points. Blue Diamonds's Kara Anderson netted two goals for Blue Diamonds. Mary Jon Olinger, Julie Jurchisin, and Jean Engels each added one goal for Blue Diamonds.

Blue Diamonds's Jennifer Lenhart had 10 saves. Macalester's Sarah Birkholz had just 25 saves on 32 shots.

Blue Diamonds ended their losing streak of three games and ended up with a record of 13 wins and 4 losses. Macalester ended the game with a record of 1-13.
