Both defenses were solid, but Golden Stars beat Hot Shots 1 - zero at Wakota- rink 1 on Tuesday. Neither team got the puck past the goalie in the first period. Golden Stars gained one goal in the second period to break the tie and take the lead. Golden Stars never looked back. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Golden Stars protected its lead, and was the winner.

Displaying a golden glove, Golden Stars's catherine meggitt finished with nine saves. Showing off a strong glove, Hot Shots's Kris Lindsoe had 21 saves on 22 shots.

Hot Shots ended the game with a record of 11-3.
