Diane Smith smashes two goals and Renegades makes forwards' life difficult to prevail

Jennifer Lenhart netted the game winner with 9:07 left in the first period, as Renegades handed a loss to Cougars 5 - 3 at Augsburg B on Sunday. Renegades outscored Cougars three to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Renegades added two goals in the second period and held on to its lead. In the third period Cougars scored two consecutive goals but it was too little too late and they ended up with the loss.

Renegades's Diane Smith made two goals for Renegades and also had one helper. Putting a first goal on the board, Smith Smith lit the lamp with an assist from Angela szumowski. Next, Smith put the puck in the net in the second period. Heidi Paulson and Carrie Peterson assisted on this goal. Renegades's Jennifer Lenhart scored two goals for Renegades. Things got going when Renegades's Lenhart got a power play goal in the first period with assists from Diane Smith and Carrie Peterson. This sealed Renegades's victory. During the first period, Lenhart put the biscuit over the goal line with an assist from Carrie Peterson. Angela szumowski tallied one goal for Renegades.

Renegades's Jan Mohrfeld blocked 12 out of 15 shots on goal.

Renegades ended the game with a record of 16 wins and 5 losses. Cougars ended the game with a record of 9-12.
