Valerie Guse rips two goals, Cluster Puck looks to the defense to get a win on the road

Cluster Puck won against Northland Thunder 6 - 2 at Wessman on Saturday. Cluster Puck outscored Northland Thunder three to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Cluster Puck retained its lead. In the final period, the ice was finally broken when Cluster Puck outscored Northland Thunder three to one and kept the lead to win the game.

Cluster Puck's Valerie Guse netted two goals for Cluster Puck. Cluster Puck's Guse put the biscuit over the goal line in the first period. Sarah Cash assisted on this goal. Then Guse got an unassisted goal in the first period. Jackie Lehmann, Emily Evans, Kara Trygestad, and Kassie Nelson each added one goal for Cluster Puck.

Displaying a golden glove, Cluster Puck's Amy Jones stopped 24 shots. Northland Thunder's Paula Tomlinson had just 32 saves on 38 shots.

Cluster Puck continued their current win streak of two games and ended up with a record of 18-1. Northland Thunder ended the game with a record of 11 wins and 11 losses.
