Cluster Puck Dominates Flyers 12-1

Kassie Nelson leads the way with a hat trick as Cluster Puck puts the squeeze on shooters to win handily

In a blowout game, Cluster Puck prevailed against Flyers 12 - 1 at Augsburg B on Sunday. Cluster Puck racked up two unanswered goals to take the lead in the first period. In the second period, Cluster Puck outscored Flyers six to one and kept the lead. The Cluster Puck defense took over in the final period. In the final period Cluster Puck scored four straight goals padding its lead and winning the game.

Leading the way to a win for Cluster Puck, Kassie Nelson got the hat trick with four goals in addition to two assists. During the first period, Nelson scored a goal. Emily Evans got the assist on this goal. This put Cluster Puck out in front for good. Then Nelson put the biscuit over the goal line without any assistance in the first period. Nelson got a third goal with an assist from Jackie Lehmann. Cluster Puck fired up their game when Nelson lit the lamp in the third period. Jackie Lehmann and Kara Trygestad assisted on this goal. Leading the scoring for Cluster Puck, Jackie Lehmann netted the hat trick with three goals and also four assists. Cluster Puck's Lehmann got a goal in the second period with an assist from Emily Evans. During the third period, Lehmann put the biscuit over the goal line with an assist from Kallie Samuelson. Piling on, Lehmann got a third goal in the third period with an assist from Kallie Samuelson. Valerie Guse, Sarah Cash, and Paola Teran each tallied one goal for Cluster Puck.

Racking up saves in the box, Cluster Puck's Amy Jones stopped 20 out of 21 shots. Flyers's Carmen Ventrucci Peterson had just 21 saves on 33 shots.

Cluster Puck ended up with a record of 17-1. Flyers finished the game with a record of 2 wins and 16 losses.
