Both defenses battled it out, but Top Shelf beat Blue Chill 2 - 1 at Augsburg A on Sunday. Blue Chill racked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Top Shelf added one unanswered goal in the second period to tie the score. The end of the second period saw both teams at one goal all. Top Shelf took the lead in the third period with one goal and won the game.

Erin Stepka made one goal for Top Shelf and also had one point. Colleen Goodrich added one goal for Top Shelf. Murphy and Gleason each added one assist for Top Shelf.

Pamela Quarve tallied one goal for Blue Chill.

Displaying a golden glove, Top Shelf's Kristel Carlson had 18 saves on 19 shots. Despite having a great day, Blue Chill's Jody Wilkens had 23 saves on 25 shots.

Top Shelf ended their streak of two losing games and improved to a record of 10-11. Blue Chill finished the game with a record of 15 wins and 7 losses.
