In a low scoring game, Puck Hogs beat Lightning II 1 - zip at Augsburg A on Saturday. Neither team got the puck past the goalie in the first period. The defenses also ruled the second period with no one managing to score. Puck Hogs broke the ice with one goal in the third period to finally win the game.
Displaying a golden glove, Puck Hogs's Julie Brandt turned away 20 shots. Despite a super performance, Lightning II's Regina Magstadt turned away 21 shots.
Lightning II finished the game with a record of 6-12.
