Shutting out the competition, Lightning II beat Top Shelf 4 - zip at Hopkins on Sunday. Lightning II racked up one unanswered goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Lightning II held on to its lead. It would prove to be too much for Top Shelf. In the final period Lightning II scored three goals adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

Having a huge day, Sara Vogt got two goals for Lightning II and also two points. Natalie Zeitz and Amy Boyer each tallied one goal for Lightning II.

Displaying a golden glove, Lightning II's Regina Magstadt made 12 saves. Top Shelf's Vivianne Davy made 24 saves.

Top Shelf ended the game with a record of 9-11.
