Puck Hogs defeated Mystics 5 - 2 at Richfield 2 on Saturday. Puck Hogs outscored Mystics two to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Puck Hogs added two goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Both teams scored one goal in the third period but Puck Hogs kept the lead for the win.

Puck Hogs's Tamara Newton made two goals for Puck Hogs and also had one assist. Taylor Dornik, Jaime Sekenski, and Jennifer Erickson each tallied one goal for Puck Hogs.

Puck Hogs's Julie Brandt finished with 13 saves. Mystics's michele van vranken had only 23 saves on 28 shots on goal.
