In a tightly contested game, Ice Pirates beat Golden Stars 3 - 1 at Wakota- rink 2 on Tuesday. Ice Pirates chalked up one unanswered goal to take the lead in the first period. In the second period, Ice Pirates outscored Golden Stars two to one and kept the lead. Ice Pirates's defense shut down Golden Stars for the rest of the game. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Ice Pirates protected its lead, and was the winner.
