Shutting out the competition, Hinotes Heroes won against Marshals 3 - 0 at Augsburg A on Sunday. Hinotes Heroes chalked up three unanswered goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Hinotes Heroes held on to its lead. It would prove to be too much for Marshals. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Hinotes Heroes protected its lead, and was the winner.

In the first period, paving the way for Hinotes Heroes, Linda Nowak lit the lamp with 12:53 left on the clock. Susan Sajevic assisted on the goal. It proved too much for Marshals. Hinotes Heroes kept up the momentum when rochelle schrofer lit the lamp with assists from nicole trueman and Linda Nowak, with 12:34 left in the period, to go further ahead. Pounding the defense, Lori Huberty netted an unassisted goal with 7:26 left on the clock, moving further into the lead.

Linda Nowak got one goal for Hinotes Heroes and also had one helper. Rochelle schrofer and Lori Huberty each tallied one goal for Hinotes Heroes. Sajevic and trueman each tallied one assist for Hinotes Heroes.

Having a perfect day, Hinotes Heroes's Kayla Helmberger stopped 21 out of 21 shots. Marshals's jill nordstrom had 23 saves on 26 shots.

Hinotes Heroes ended up with a record of 13 wins and 7 losses. Marshals finished the game with a record of 13 wins and 4 losses.
