In a defensive battle, Thunderbirds defeated Bombers 2 - 1 at Buffalo Civic Center-Peterson on Sunday. Thunderbirds and Bombers both scored one goal to end the first period tied. Neither team scored in the second period so they continued to be tied. The second period closed with both teams at one goal a piece. Thunderbirds added one goal in the third period to break the tie and take the lead, grabbing a late victory.

Tiffany Clements and Terri Malachek each added one goal for Thunderbirds. Nelson, Furrer, and Johnston each tallied one assist for Thunderbirds.

Holly Struss tallied one goal for Bombers.

Thunderbirds's Darla Hengel had nine saves. Showing off a strong glove, Bombers's Heidi Michaels stopped 20 shots.

Thunderbirds now has a record of 11-4. Bombers finished the game with a record of 5-11.
