In a shutout game, Thunderbirds defeated Rockets 5 - zip at Super rink 3 on Friday. Thunderbirds scored one goal to take the lead in the first period. Thunderbirds added one goal in the second period and held on to its lead. It would prove to be too much for Rockets. In the final period Thunderbirds scored three goals piling on and winning the game.

Thunderbirds's Judy Rixe got two goals for Thunderbirds. Thunderbirds's Terri Malachek made two goals for Thunderbirds. Allison Furrer contributed one goal for Thunderbirds.

Having a huge impact in the game, Thunderbirds's Darla Hengel made 13 saves.

Rockets ended the game with a record of 6-6.
