Defenses ruled the day when Hot Shots was superior against Ice Pirates 1 - 0 at Dakotah (DIC) - Rink 1 on Sunday. Hot Shots scored one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Hot Shots retained its lead. Hot Shots's defense shut down Ice Pirates for the rest of the game. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Hot Shots conserved its lead, and was the winner.

Showing off a strong glove, Hot Shots's Kris Lindsoe had seven saves on seven shots.

Hot Shots extended their winning streak to three games and ended the game with a record of 9 wins and 2 losses. Ice Pirates ended the game with a record of 3-8.
