In a shutout victory, Northern Stars handed a loss to Xplosion 3 - zero at Minnehaha Academy Arena on Sunday. Northern Stars chalked up two straight goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Northern Stars held on to its lead. Xplosion's fate was sealed. In the final period Northern Stars scored one goal adding to the margin of victory and winning the game.

Turning in a good performance, Jolene Erola netted two goals for Northern Stars. Danielle Amborn tallied one goal for Northern Stars. Kramer contributed one assist for Northern Stars.

Turning in a perfect performance, Northern Stars's Amanda Reed blocked 14 out of 14 shots on goal. Xplosion's Susan Welles had 23 saves.
