Both defenses were solid, but Northland Thunder won against Blue J's II 2 - zip at Schwan's Super Rink on Saturday. Neither team managed to get on the scoreboard in the first period. Northland Thunder added one goal in the second period to break the tie and take the lead. Northland Thunder never looked back. In the final period Northland Thunder scored one goal adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

Displaying a golden glove, Northland Thunder's Paula Tomlinson stopped 19 shots. Blue J's II's Kayla Helmberger stopped 20 shots.
