Defenses ruled the day when Blast beat Synergy 2 - 1 at Oscar Johnson on Sunday. Synergy chalked up one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. Neither team scored in the second period so Synergy held on to its lead. Synergy was up one to zero, but the final period would turn the tables on them. Blast managed to come back with two consecutive goals in the third period to steal the lead and win the game.

Michelle Kearin and Anne Woll each added one goal for Blast. Jacki Wincek made two points. malnati and Hall each tallied one assist for Blast.

Lisa Sneen contributed one goal for Synergy.

Showing off a strong glove, Blast's Sara Hudoba had 13 saves on 14 shots. Synergy's Katherine Foster blocked 13 out of 15 shots on goal.

Blast ended the game with a record of 9 wins and 4 losses. Synergy finished the game with a record of 16-2.
