Kelli Schlittler knocks a hat trick and Marshals shines on defense to win by a wide margin

Leaving their opponents in the dust, Marshals won against Whammies 12 - 1 at Augsburg on Sunday. Marshals outscored Whammies three to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Marshals added three unanswered goals in the second period and held on to its lead. Marshals's defense shut down Whammies for the rest of the game. In the final period Marshals scored six consecutive goals adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

Having an outstanding day for Marshals, Kelli Schlittler got the hat trick with six goals and also had one helper. During the first period, Schlittler netted a power play goal with an assist from JODIE ANDERSON. Schlittler scored another goal with assists from Denise Alto and Natalie Pinault. During the third period, Schlittler scored a third goal. Denise Alto and kelly duffy assisted on this goal. During the third period, Schlittler scored a fourth goal with assists from Denise Alto and loree block. Schlittler put the biscuit into the net with assists from JODIE ANDERSON and loree block. Marshals turned up the pressure when Schlittler lit the lamp without assistance from team mates in the third period. Sabrina Radke and JODIE ANDERSON each tallied one goal for Marshals.

Leading the way for Marshals, jill nordstrom blocked 13 out of 14 shots on goal.

Marshals ended the game with a record of 13 wins and 3 losses. Whammies finished the game with a record of 0-11.
