In a defensive battle, Northland Thunder defeated Riveters 2 - 1 at Augsburg A on Sunday. Northland Thunder scored two goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Riveters added one goal in the second period but failed to take the lead. Riveters's fate was sealed. With both teams scoreless in the third period, Northland Thunder protected its lead, and was the winner.

Andrea Hamm and Molly Erjavec each added one goal for Northland Thunder. Harvieux tallied one assist for Northland Thunder.

Jill Campbell added one goal for Riveters.

Racking up saves in the box, Northland Thunder's Paula Tomlinson had 10 saves. Showing off a strong glove, Riveters's Rebecca MacRostie had 31 saves.

Northland Thunder extended their winning streak to three games and ended up with a record of 11-9. Riveters finished the game with a record of 11 wins and 10 losses.
