Penalty Box defeated Hot Flash 4 - 1 at STMA Albertville on Saturday. Penalty Box scored one goal to jump in to the lead in the first period. As the second period unfolded, Penalty Box scored two goals to Hot Flash's one and kept the lead. Hot Flash were not able to answer back. In the final period Penalty Box scored one goal adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

In the first period, Penalty Box put points on the board when Laura Hannam put the puck in the net without assistance with 7:47 left in the period. This was the knock out punch for Hot Flash. In the second period, pushing forward, Penalty Box's Hannam once more put the puck in the net again with an assist from Michelle Lanz, with 15:48 left on the clock, to get further ahead. On the flip side, Hot Flash's Katie Swor lit the lamp without assistance from team mates with 12:33 left in the period. Penalty Box replied when Laura Hannam got the puck in the goal with an assist from Michelle Lanz, with 10:25 left on the clock, to pull further ahead. In the third period, Penalty Box turned up the pressure when Hannam did it again and put the biscuit over the goal line once more with 9:09 left in the period. Beth Squires assisted on the goal, to get further ahead.

Turning in a great performance for Penalty Box, Laura Hannam got the hat trick with four goals. Michelle Lanz had two assists. Squires added one assist for Penalty Box.

Katie Swor added one goal for Hot Flash.

Having a huge impact in the game, Penalty Box's Beth Anderson made 12 saves. Hot Flash's Cheryl Kelly blocked 12 out of 16 shots on goal.

Penalty Box now has a record of 8-2. Hot Flash finished the game with a record of 9-4.
