Jenn Graff rips a goal and Power Play effective on defense to grab the win

Defenses ruled the day when Power Play triumphed over Warriors 2 - 1 at Thaler Sports Center on Friday. Neither team scored in the first period. Both teams scored one goal in the second period and remained tied. The second period ended with both teams at one goal all. Power Play took the lead in the third period with one goal and won the game.

In the second period, Warriors's Beth Hustad put the biscuit over the goal line with 13:21 left in the period. Karen Delorenzo assisted on the goal. On the flip side, Power Play's Sue Kammann put the biscuit over the goal line with 11:03 left on the clock. Christa Mason assisted on the goal, tying the game. In the third period, continuing the roll, Power Play's Jenn Graff put the puck in the net with an assist from Krista Gasparini, with 8:57 left on the clock, to grab the lead and win.

Jenn Graff and Sue Kammann each added one goal for Power Play. Gasparini and Mason each tallied one assist for Power Play.

Beth Hustad tallied one goal for Warriors.

Showing off a strong glove, Power Play's Jennifer Zink made 14 saves. Warriors's Katie Morning made 16 saves.

Power Play ended their losing streak of two games and improved to a record of 6-6. Warriors ended the game with a record of 7 wins and 7 losses.
