Laura Hannam scored the game winner with 10:30 left in the second period, as Penalty Box overcame Galaxy 3 - 1 at Richfield Ice Arena 1 on Sunday. Penalty Box and Galaxy both scored one goal to end the first period tied. Penalty Box gained one unanswered goal in the second period to break the tie and take the lead. The Penalty Box defense took over in the final period. In the final period Penalty Box scored one goal adding to their overall lead and winning the game.

In the first period, Penalty Box's Laura Hannam put the puck between the pipes with an assist from Michelle Lanz, with 9:15 left in the period. Galaxy charged back when Anne Jeffries put the puck in the net with an assist from Zoe Jacobson, with 1:20 left on the clock, tying the game. In the second period, Penalty Box shot back when Laura Hannam netted an unassisted goal with 10:30 left on the clock for Penalty Box, going ahead at 2-1. This solidified the win for Penalty Box. In the third period, Penalty Box turned up the pressure when Michelle Lanz netted a goal with an assist from suzie levy, with 1:10 left on the clock, going further ahead.

Having a good day, Laura Hannam netted two goals for Penalty Box. Michelle Lanz got one goal for Penalty Box and also had one point. levy contributed one assist for Penalty Box.

Anne Jeffries tallied one goal for Galaxy.

Penalty Box's Beth Anderson blocked seven out of eight shots on goal. Galaxy's Flannery Dolan made 18 saves.

Galaxy finished the game with a record of 9-5.
