Corrie Weikle scored the game winner with 4:12 left in the third period, as Badenovs handed a loss to Fighting Squirrels 5 - 4 at Highland Arena - South Rink on Sunday. Fighting Squirrels outscored Badenovs three to two to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. In the second period, Badenovs outscored their opponents by one goal and tied for the lead. The second period closed with both teams at four goals each. Badenovs added one goal in the third period to break the tie and take the lead, grabbing a late victory.

Badenovs's Kellye Nelson got two goals for Badenovs and also had one helper. Putting a first goal on the board, Nelson Nelson netted a goal. Megan Morinville assisted on this goal.
