Renegades Takes Out Sharpshooters 8-2

Heidi Paulson fires a hat trick while Renegades makes forwards' life difficult to get a big win

In a blowout game, Renegades beat Sharpshooters 8 - 2 at Hopkins on Saturday. Renegades tallied up seven goals to jump in to the lead in the first period. Sharpshooters added two straight goals in the second period but failed to take the lead. Sharpshooters were not able to answer back. In the final period Renegades scored one goal piling on and winning the game.

Having a huge impact in the game for Renegades, Heidi Paulson netted the hat trick with five goals. Things got going when Renegades's Paulson put the biscuit into the net in the first period. Diane Smith assisted on this goal. This sealed Renegades's victory. Next, Paulson put the biscuit into the net in the first period. Donna Luttrell assisted on this goal. During the first period, Paulson got another goal with assists from Jennifer Lenhart and Donna Luttrell. Piercing though the defense, Paulson scored another goal in the first period with an assist from Angela szumowski. Steaming onward, Paulson put the biscuit into the net in the third period with assists from Diane Smith and Donna Luttrell. Donna Luttrell, Angela szumowski, and Kathy Wabner each added one goal for Renegades.

Renegades's Jan Mohrfeld stopped 12 shots. In goal, Sharpshooters's Lindsay Murr had only 3 saves on 11 shots on goal.

Sharpshooters finished the game with a record of 10-6.
