Minnesota Legacy 61's Skills Clinic

The Women’s program was developed with the intention of enhancing the skills of beginning women’s hockey players.  The Women’s program is an enjoyable developmental program geared toward C1, C2, and C3 level women hockey players.

The training is intended to create physiological changes through proper mechanics and repetition to build muscle memory and enhance learning. The focus of this program is to develop fundamental skills that will improve the hockey playing experience.  Mechanical and technical instruction will be concentrate on the following areas: 

  • Hockey stops
  • Turns and Crossovers
  • Transitioning from forward to backward and backward to forward
  • Puck control and stick handling ability
  • Shooting
  • Passing and pass receiving
  • Pass support and positioning

Chicks with Sticks Hockey

Chicks with Sticks Hockey provides clinics, coaching, and in house league play for women interested in hockey. Programs available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. Our programs are available during morning and afternoon hours. This is perfect for players who have flexible schedules and want more hockey time that doesn’t interfere with their WHAM team schedule. Youth Coaching Opportunity

Woodbury Area Hockey Association is looking for female hockey coaches for the U10 - U14 levels.  The Woodbury girls youth hockey program is fast growing and a fun learning environment with successful teams at all levels.  Potential coaches would have a strong hockey background with a minimum high school or equivalent playing experience.  Candidates will be positive role models and must also have a desire to help develop girls into strong athletic hockey players.  We are looking for both head and assistant coaches with a plan to develop assistant coaches into head coaches for future years.  These are paid positions.  Please email willdonovan@live.com if you have an interest in joining our organization as a girl's coach.
